The lockout feature is useful if you want to prevent employees from clocking at unauthorised times. This is an optional feature that allows you to specify the earliest in time that a user can clock in and the latest out time that a user can clock out. Lockouts are set up by the day, at the department level. If you wish, the lockout feature can be used in conjunction with the Schedule Feature.
To set lockout times, follow these steps:
- Click the Departments tab on the main menu.
- Select the department from the list.
- Click the Lockout link.
- Enter the desired times.
- Click Save.
IMPORTANT: You must enter times for both Earliest In Time and Latest Out Time for the system to save the settings. After you enter lockout times, remember to click Save or your changes will not be saved.
